OUR SERVICES.
We deliver a broad range of survey services that guarantee measurable results and a positive impact on your businesses.
Cadastral & Sectional Title surveys
Cadastral Surveying is a field of Surveying that is devoted to the establishment and re-establishment of real property boundaries. At Tenmwa we have extensive experience in the following;
- Pegging and registration of General Plans
- Subdivisions and Registration of SG. Diagrams
- Survey of Servitudes
- Surveying and Drafting Sectional Plans
- Relocation of Property boundaries
Topographical survey is a branch of survey concerned with the measuring and depicting of spatial information (Natural or manmade). Critical in every built environment project as it forms a basis for the design of any new Project. At Tenmwa we are proud to have an extensive track record of successfully completing such projects. We have done numerous Topographical projects for government and the private sector. Mostly for the design of new infrastructure like roads & stormwater, sewer & water schools and hospitals.
Setting out & Land Surveyor Certificate
After the design of a Project, implementation is naturally the next step. This is however not as simple as it sounds as there are many issues that have to be taken into account, physical and non-physical. For instance the property boundaries where the project is to be sited might be still imaginary or where there is a wall or fence, the physical wall or fence might be in a wrong position. Or there may be a Servitude running through the project site. A contractor might not be able understand all these issues. A Land Surveyor is therefore required to identify the boundaries, interpret all the spatial information and position i.e setout the project on the correct position having taken into account all the underlying information. Because of many instances of encroachments into other people’s properties leading to expensive litigations and delays in completing critical projects most Municipalities now require a Land Surveyor's Certificate to be issued by a registered Land Surveyor who confirms that the project has been sited correctly within the project site and that there are no encroachments.
Our Expertise is mainly confined to opencast Mining and specifically to volume calculations where there is material movements. Mining payments are mostly based on volumes mined/moved every month and measuring mining stockpiles can only be done accurately by survey methods either by conversional methods or photogrammetrically. These methods are only understood and carried out by a Surveyor who then issues at the end of every month a certificate certifying the volumes mined or moved. At Tenmwa we employ both conventional methods and the Photogrammetric methods using Drone Technology.
Drone Surveys
Drones are a new technology that has found wide use in surveying and other fields. Drones have made Photogrammetry cheaper and accessible to those surveyors willing to embrace it. Photogrammetric results can now be obtainable much faster and cheaper. The effects of weather conditions are no-longer as critical as in the olden days as drones can fly below the cloud cover. Information from a drone picture has all the information at a glance, it gives the design Engineer an opportunity to carry out his/her design in the office as if he/she is in the field. Inventories and assessments of services can be done in the office from a Drone Orthophotomosaic with fewer field visits. Centimetre accuracies are obtainable with lower flying heights which then comes in handy in projects with smaller areal extents. At Tenmwa, we have carried out a reasonable number of successful Drone surveys
Underground Services Detection and Mapping
In Cities, Towns and in Institutions many services like water, electricity, telecommunication, sewer etc are buried and were buried underground many years ago and in most cases were not mapped and no one knows their location and how they are distributed. It therefore is necessary to detect and locate these services when there is construction activities in their vicinity or when they need to be replaced to avoid damage and disruption. There is a variety of technologies used to detect and map these services. At Tenmwa we use the latest Technologies like the Ground Penetration Radar (GPR) and Radiodetection technology to locate underground cables and pipes.
